The Knicks are back... Soon

Leon Rose. World Wide Wes. Tom Thibodeau (meh). Some dude named Kenny from the University of Kentucky coach who is rumored to be good with young talent. The Knicks are back in business. Over the past 20 years or so the New York Knicks have been imploding with James Dolan at the helm of the franchise, messing up just about every young player and coach we've ever had and almost completely ruining Carmelo Anthony's Hall of Fame Career. But with the new staff and the young talent it looks as if there is a glimmer of hope for the Franchise.

Player Agent Leon Rose was announced as President of Basketball Ops just a little while ago and since than it feels like James Dolan legitimately handed the keys to the ferrari off to him and waddled away into his penthouse suite... FINALLY. With this new front office and coaching staff Leon has assembled the Knicks feel approachable again, it feels like we are on the cusp of some great basketball and mediocre playoff runs for the first time since Melo was forced out by that fat fuck Dolan.

Bringing in Thibs was a move I hated at first, but bringing this guys Kenny in to maybe make the young guys feel good and validated after Thibs plays them 46 hard basketball minutes seems like a big time move, on top of the fact that hopefully RJ and Mitch can become a dynamic duo similar to the likes of Mitch and Rudy Gobert, hopefully with the beef.

Things looks good. Things sound good. And if it weren't for the fact that this is the New York Knicks basketball franchise I would almost have a little bit of hope, but then it all comes back to me and I realize that this is potentially the worst sports franchise of all time, lead by the worst sports owner of all time, so like all things New York Knicks I would imagine it is just a matter of time before the next implosion. Whether it be Thibs getting fired after year one, or RJ catastrophically tearing both of his ACLs, or the most likely answer; The Knicks have 5 seasons as a 4-8 seed all of which result in first round exits which lead them to trade away their stars and rebuild again. But if there's any hope for the Knicks it would be getting a top 3 pick, and in my eyes hoping Lamelo Ball falls into our lap. Prayers up.
